ControlTap Access Control Hardware

Purpose-built hardware modules that physically control access to your equipment. Hardware is purchased outright with a license for ongoing warranty and updates.

ControlTap Console

The central hub for your access control system. Available in two configurations:

  • Standard (Wired) - Direct interface with modules for power/data control
  • Standalone (Wireless) - WiFi-enabled for remote equipment or 120V outlet control

HV Module

High-voltage relay module for custom power control systems.

  • NO/NC relay configuration
  • Up to 240VAC, 20A (NO) or 10A (NC)
  • 5VDC control via 4-pin connection

120V Module

WiFi-enabled standalone module with standard outlet interface.

  • Independent cloud connection
  • Standard 120VAC, 15A receptacle
  • 8A resistive, 3A inductive max
  • Only 2W average power draw

USB Module

Control access to USB-connected devices like microscopes and analyzers.

  • Controls up to 3 USB 2.0 ports
  • 1x USB-C (to computer), 3x USB-A (to devices)

And if your network goes down, work doesn't have to stop: ControlTap units can be configured to cache credentials and access permissions locally, so authorized users can keep using equipment during an outage. Enterprise deployments can also add local servers and custom authentication sources for even more independence.
